Description
The
tick
utility starts the
tick
process that sends periodic tick notification to the
tim
process, which in turn
handles protocol timers.
Syntax
tick_xxx [-v]
where
xxx
is operating system specific,
lnx
for Linux and
sol
for Solaris versions.
Command Line Options
The
tick
utility supports the following command line options:
•
-v
Show version information.
Example
The
tick
process is typically only started by forking a process using
gctload
by including the following line in
the
system.txt
file:
FORK_PROCESS ./tick_lnx
