DANGER ZONES, RISK OF CRUSH AND SHEAR INJURY
The main danger zones on and around the mobile column lift, that can be hazardous to the operator and any other persons nearby:
ALWAYS stay clear of the area under and around
the lift columns, the lift shaft with its lift forks.
WARNING
Lowering the lift columns or lift forks on
one’s feet may result in serious bodily
injury. To prevent people from having
their feet crushed or sheared by the
lowering the lift columns or lift forks:
ALWAYS keep visual control over
the entire working area of the
mobile column.
ALWAYS operate the lift from a
standing position on the ground, at
a safe distance of min. 400 mm
behind the master column and the
electric control box.
ALWAYS keep hands and fingers clear of the
hazardous zone between the lift column and the
moving lift shaft / lift forks.
WARNING
When protruding ones hands or fingers
between the lift column and the moving
lift shaft, these protruding body parts may
be crushed or sheared. To prevent
crushing or shearing:
ALWAYS operate the lift from a
standing position on the ground, at a
safe distance of min. 400 mm behind
the master column and the electric
control box.
ALWAYS keep hands and limbs clear
of the moving parts of the lift.
