CHECKING THE DIRECTION OF ROTATION OF THE MOTOR (PUMP 1 ROTATION)
For surface pumps
(see fig. below): switch the system to TEST mode, start it by pressing START, and look to
see whether the motor fan is turning in the direction indicated on the pump body. Stop the system by pressing
STOP.

For submersible pumps
(see fig. below) the system must be placed in WORK mode; start the system by
pressing START, with a connected unit open; DGBOX will take the system pressure to that of set P1. Once
operating speed has been achieved, read and record the operating frequency to maintain the pressure of set
P1.

Now reverse the direction of rotation by means of the PUMP 1 ROTATION parameter as indicated in the above
example for surface pumps, repeat the starting operation and again record the operating frequency to
maintain the SET pressure.
The correct direction of rotation is that which calls for the lesser frequency to maintain the
SET pressure.
