Intel Speed Step
This field is used to enable or disable the Enhanced Intel SpeedStep
®
Technology (EIST), which
helps optimize the balance between system’s power consumption and performance. After it is
enabled in the BIOS, EIST features can then be enabled via the operating system’s power man-
agement.
Turbo Mode
Enable or disable turbo mode of the processor. This field will only be displayed when “Intel
Speed Step” is enabled. This field is not available when the equipped CPU does not support
Turbo Mode.
Hyper-threading
Enable or disable Hyper-threading. When it is enabled, a physical core will perform as two
logical processors, and the user may experience better computational efficiency of the system.
Please make sure that the OS operating on your system is optimized for Hyper-Threading, e.g.
Windows and Linux. This field is not available when the equipped CPU does not support Hyper-
threading.
