HARDWARE INSTALLATION

5. Align the triangular mark of
the CPU and CPU carrier to
the chamfer corner of the
CPU and heat sink socket.
Place the heatsink assem-
bly on top of the socket.
Use the T30 screwdriver
to install the assembly ac-
cording to the sequence of
the screws shown on the
label.
6. Connect the CPU fan’s
power cable to the CPU fan
connector on the system
board.
3. Place the CPU carrier on
top of the heatsink. Place
the triangular hole near the
mounting hole #1 of the
heat sink. Use the push-
pins around the CPU car-
rier to secure the CPU car-
rier onto the heat sink.
You will hear a distinctive
“click”, indicating the CPU
carrier is correctly locked
into position.

4. Slide the protective caps
open and detach them
from the board.
