The G586VPS Pro supports IrDA function for wireless connectivity be-

tween your computer and peripheral devices. To use the IrDA function,

follow the steps below.

1. Connect your IrDA cable to connector J17 of the G586VPS Pro sys-

tem board. Pin 1 of the IrDA cable must be aligned with pin 1 of

connector J17.

2. Set the Infrared Duplex Type category to Half, which is the recom-

mended setting.

You may not use IrDA (J17) and the COM B serial port (J13) at the

same time. If you are using the COM B serial port, set the Infrared

Duplex Type category to “Disabled”.

Note:
The G586VPS Pro only supports IrDA that is an HP standard.
