Eliminate any leakage by tightening the nuts or replacing the compacting gaskets.
Positive pressure leak test
Close the cylinder valve. Release the сrosstop’s lever from the lock and remove it from pivoting axles
of the frame. Create a positive pressure in the breathing apparatus system using Breathing apparatus
test set DEZEGA CheckUp and perform leak test in the respective operating mode. If the pressure
drop rate exceeds 30 Pa/min, detect and eliminate the leakage and repeat the test.
Relief valve operating pressure
Close the cylinder valve. Connect the сrosstop’s lever to the frame.
Create an air flow of 1 l/min using the test set device and observe the readings of the pressure gauge
of the test set device. Relief valve openning pressure must not exceed 1000 Pa. If this value exceeds
the specified limits, replace the revief valve assembled. In this case, make a corresponding records
in the audit log.
Continuous oxygen supply
CAUTION!
During the inspection and adjustment, the cylinder pressure must be (20.0 ± 1.0) MPa.
Disconnect the relief valve by disconnecting сrosstop’s lever and frame. Open the cylinder valve.
After the continuous supply rate is normalized, determine its value by the control device after 2-4
minutes. If the value of the continuous supply exceeds the permissible limit of 1.7-1.9 l/min, adjust it
by tightening the second reducer and make the corresponding reccord in the audit log.
Bypass oxygen supply
CAUTION!
During the inspection and adjustment, the cylinder pressure must be (20.0 ± 1.0) MPa.
Disconnect the relief valve by disconnecting a сrosstop’s lever and frame and then open the cylinder
valve. Press the bypass button and determine the oxygen flowrate using the control unit. Repeat the
test at cylinder pressure of 3-4 MPa. If the value of the additional supply exceeds the permissible
limits then it is necessary to replace the oxygen distribution unit.
Negative pressure leak test
Close the cylinder valve. Create vacuum pressure in the breathing apparatus system using
Breathing apparatus test set DEZEGA CheckUp. Perform a leak test in respective operating mode.
If the pressure drop rate exceeds 80 Pa/min, detect and eliminate the leakage and repeat the test.
Performance of the demand valve
CAUTION!
During the inspection and adjustment, the cylinder pressure must be (20.0 ± 1.0) MPa.
Open the cylinder valve. Create vacuum pressure in the breathing apparatus system with air flow of
10 l/min. The pressure in the breathing system should be positive.
Leak test for inhalation and exhalation valves
Connect the breathing apparatus to the breathing apparatus test set DEZEGA CheckUp. Select this
test by clicking on «INSPIRATORY AND EXHALATION VALVE LEAKTIGHT CHECK» in the positive
pressure breathing apparatus check menu. Click «Inspiratory Valve» in the testing window. Clamp
the breathing hose tightly with a special clamp N from adaptors set (if included). Click START on the
control panel. Repeat the same test with exhalation valve.
