Mounting
• The DS610 has two mounting holes on the back of the sensor
for easy installation. Use two #8 screws or mounting tape (not
provided. For mounting tape placement, see Figure 4.
• Mount the sensor 3–6' (.9–1.8m) from the floor. Any height
outside of this range will decrease the sensitivity of the
motion detector.
• Be sure that the sensor is secure so it will not be bumped or
otherwise moved.
Adjustable Sensitivity
• The DS610 is factory set to a motion sensitivity that is best
for most applications. If you wish to make it more or less
sensitivite to motion detection you can do so by turning the
sensitivity dial (A).
• This adjustment changes the analog amplifier gain which will
increased or decreased the detection range.
• Turn to less sensitive to reduce false alarms.
Adding LED flash and/or Buzzer with motion
You can add audible and visual alerts (E) whenever motion is
detected.
#1- BUZZER, enables audible "BEEP" indication when motion
alarm has been tripped
#2 - LED, enables RED LED that will flash when motion alarm
has been tripped
Note: switching #1 and/or #2 to ON will increase battery drain
and shorten battery run time.
Adding a Filter
#3- FILTER (E), when ON, a two phase digital filter is
employed
to
reduce
false
alarms
from
transient
electrical noise. OFF removes the filter and is the most
sensitive.
