WIRING
(Fig. 10)
The boiler must be have a single-phase power supply 220/230V,
50Hz plus earth ( ) connected to terminals N and L.
CAUTION! Respect PHASE-NEUTRAL polarity!
Connections to other components with terminals as follows:
1-6 to the heater pump (if any)
2-5 to the burner
3-4 to the heating pump
Terminals T.A. must be connected to the ambient thermostat after
removing the jumper.
CAUTION!
Must be earthed.
Key to symbols:
T.R. = Boiler setting thermostat (66)
T.S. = Safety thermostat (68)
P.S. = Hot water supply pump
B.R. = Burner
P.R. = Heating pump
C1-C2-C3 = Main board connectors (74)
S = On-off /summer-winter control (67)
C4 = Boiler board connector (75)
RELEÁ = 10A three-switching relay
TPS = Priority hot water supply thermostat (65)
TL = Limit thermostat (69)
T.A.= Room clock/thermostat

CONNECTING TO THE STACK
Check that the dimensions and the status of the stack (parasite air
inlets, obstructions, etc.) are suited to the performance of the boiler.
The cross section and height of the stack must ensure the minimum
draft as specified in the table for each model.
Proceed as follows:
.
Connect to the rear element.
.
Use a tube with a diameter that is at least the same as for the
exhaust pipe.
.
Reduce the number of bends and avoid sharp changes of
direction.
.
Make sure there is at least 5% angle of inclination for the pipe and
insulate it if necessary.
.
Check the seal of the fittings.
16
.
INSTALLING THE BURNER
(Fig. 1)
The lower cover (10) has a burner flange corresponding to the one
shown in Fig. 1. If the burner flange is not suited to this flanging, an
adapter and gasket must be provided. The diameter of the burner
head may differ from the diameter of the insulation. If it is larger,
widen the insulation hole. If it is smaller, add insulation to adapt the
hole ad accurately as possible to prevent backfiring. The maximum
diameter allowed is 110 mm. It is advisable to graphitize the burner
screws to facilitate removal later on.

.
REGULATING THERMAL
POWER
The boiler's thermal power must be regulated according to the
requirements of the system. Read the burner instructions very
carefully and use nozzles and fuel pressure to get the required
value.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL
UNIT CONNECTION KIT
(Figg. 10-11-12)
There are two kits:
1 - one for temperature control units without a mixer valve -
CODE 711473
2 - one for temperature control units with a mixer valve -
CODE 711474
Use the right kit depending on the type of temperature control unit.
They are made up of an 8-pin connector, an intermediate male/
female plug to facilitate assembly and capped cables for connecting
to the temperature control unit.
To assemble, remove the jumpered connector (74) from the main
board (76), discard it and mount the eight-pin connector in ita place.
Connect the capped cables as shown in the temperature control unit
diagram.
If you use a temperature control unit of a make other than LANDIS &
STAEFA, colours are used in the diagram to identify connection to
the various appliances (pumps, burners, etc.) and neutral is clearly
marked with N and the live wires L.
