1. GENERAL
Thank you for purchasing a DEVILLE product. Read these directions carefully before handling the fireplace !
Fireplaces C07722 are designed for use only as room heaters, they must not be used for any other purposes, for
example as laundry dryers ! Do not cover the fireplace with anything, do not put flammable objects on - or near the
fireplace ! Best heating result is achieved when the shutters are closed during the utilization. C07722 are powerful
heating devices - the temperature of their metallic parts can rise to very high levels. The chimney must be done
according to the fire safety regulations. Before starting the utilization (and after a long breaks) check out the condition
of the chimney - is there any corrosion damage, is there draught enough.
DEVILLE is not responsible for the compatibility and the quality of the other manufacturer’s products.
2. TRANSPORTATION AND ASSEMBLY
2.1. Transportation
C07722 fireplace is delivered assembled. It must be carried by two persons. Handle the shutter and the surface with
care during the transportation and assembly ! Remove the stickers from the glass shutters !
2.1.1. Stone model
To make the transportation and installation easy and safe it is recommended that the fireplace is taken into parts
before transportation :
•
take away the packing,
•
loosen the screw (total 4 pcs) from behind and front of the hood,
•
fasten the stones with cord before hood lifting that the stones not fall to the ground,
•
lift up the hood,
•
take away the binding hooks from the stones and lift up the stones very carefully,
•
protect the stones very carefully for the transportation.
The installation of the fireplace :
•
set the stand to its place leaving enough room to the backside for fixing the screws and installing the flue tube,
•
lift the fireplace hearth onto the stand,
•
install the stones and binding hooks. Fasten the stones with cord before hood lifting that the stones not fall to
the ground,
•
install the hood to its place and fix the screws,
•
push the heater carefully to its final place.
2.2. Foundation
The foundation must be flat and steady. Take also in consideration the weight of the chimney !
2.3. Safety distances
Negligence of current directions may cause fire ! The temperature of the fireplace’s surface can rise up to 140 °C ,
near the glasses - up to 350 °C. If the floor near the fireplace is made from combustible material, it must be covered,
for example with metal sheet. The sheet must extend at least at 100 mm from the sides and 400 mm from the front of
the shutters (fig. 1).
Safety distances between the surface and constructions, made from combustible materials :
- from behind : 250 mm,
- upwards : 600 mm,
- from both sides : 250 cm,
- in front : 1000 mm.
