4.  Mounting clip must be a minimum of 3" 

from bottom of fireplace to prevent crimp

ing of capillary. Once you have decided 

on  a  location,  clean  area  thoroughly. 

Remove paper backing from adhesive on 

back of mounting clip. Press clip into new 
location so thermostat sensing bulb will 
be  positioned  vertically  with  capillary  at 

bottom (see Figure 32). Slide thermostat 
sensing bulb into clip.

 

IMPORTANT:

 Do not crimp capillary.
