3. DEVICE OPERATION

• When the button is held pressed for more than 1 second, playback is in FF or FR of 2 

times speed. (with audio output) 

•  When the button is held pressed for more than 4 seconds, playback is in FF or FR of 10 

times speed. (with audio output) 

•  When the button is held pressed for more than 7 seconds, playback is in FF or FR of 100 

times speed. (without audio output) 

•  When the button is held pressed for more than 10 seconds, playback is in FF or FR of 200 

times speed. (without audio output) 

•  At the end of the final track, the playback is in pause mode.

Note:

•  If a track with short length is manually searched for at high speed, the intended speed may 

not be achieved. With this unit, n-time-speed search is achieved by repeated playback for 
a duration of 0.5 seconds at the intervals of n-time-speed searching.

8. Finishing manual search

 

DN-F400: Release the

• If manual search is started during stop or pause, the searched point is reproduced 

repeatedly after manual search is finished.

 

• If manual search is started during playback, after manual search is finished, playback 

restarts from the point where the button is released.

•  During 0.2 second after hot-start playback is started, no command, including searching, 

can be accepted.

9. Frame jump

 

While a searched point is reproduced repeatedly in Step 8, if the

 or

 button of the 

RC-F400S is pressed then released within 1 second, a reproduced point will jump by one 
frame.
