3. DEVICE OPERATION
NORMAL PLAYBACK
Before starting playback
Before turning the power on, set the MODE switch on the rear panel of the DN-F400 according
to the intended use. (See page 11)
1. Set the POWER ON/OFF switch of each device to ON after connecting the DN-F400 and
RC-F400S.

• On the display of the RC-F400S, the startup display “DENON PROFESSIONAL” appears.
• The version information is displayed on the DN-F400 during startup.
(Example:
“A-1.00”)
• Once startup completes, file information is displayed on the display unit of each device. (See
page 4)
2. Insert the SD card to be played into the slot of the DN-F400. (See page 7)
If the storage medium is formatted other than for FAT16 or FAT32, “Unformat” is
displayed.
