Press the

(eject) button on the main unit.
• The TOC data is written and the disc is ejected.
• When TOC writing starts, the “
” indicator flashes. Do not shake the main unit or unplug the power
supply cord while the TOC is being written. If the data is not recorded properly, it will not be possible to play
the disc.
• The TOC data can also be recorded by performing the following operations:
• Pressing the power button to set the power to the standby mode.
• In the stop mode, press the

(stop) button.
• Press the CLEAR button to reset the settings to as they were one step before that point.
• To cancel the erasing procedure, press the
2
(stop) or CLEAR button before step 10 above.
(2) Dividing tracks
• A recorded track can be divided, adding a new track number to the second part.
• Use this function to add a track number at the desired position to make it easy to search for that
position.

Set the pause mode at the position at which you want to divide the track.
Press the EDIT button.
• “
Edit Mode
” is displayed.
Either turn the jog dial on the main unit or press one of the automatic search buttons (

) on the
remote control unit.
• Display “
Divide?
”.
Press the jog dial on the main unit or the ENTER button on the remote control unit.
• A section of several seconds starting from that position is played repeatedly and “
Position OK?
” is
displayed.
Turn the jog dial on the main unit or use the automatic search buttons (

) on the remote control
unit to fine-adjust the dividing position.
• The section being played repeatedly can be fine-adjusted within a range of –255 to +255 points (1 point
corresponds to approximately 0.012 seconds).
• “
Position
± [no. points]” is displayed.
If it is OK to divide the track, press the jog dial on the main unit or the ENTER button on the remote control unit.
• “
Complete
” is displayed.

NOTES:
• Tracks that have been deleted may be returned to the original condition with the Undoing the last editing operation
on page 27, but make sure that you check before making a deletion.
• On group registered discs, deletion between A-B of this section is not possible. Please use “Dividing Tracks” of
the next section and “Erasing one track at a time” of page 23.
