13.2 Acou stic alarm
The acou stic alarm can be ac ti va ted in ad di ti on to the vi sual alarm. This is ex pe di ent when the
pH-Con trol ler is in stal led in the ba se ca bi net of the aqua ri um, for exam ple.
• To ac ti va te the acou stic alarm: Press key, LED lights up
• To de ac ti va te the acou stic alarm: Press key again, LED go es off
14 Com fort func ti ons
14.1 Dim ming the dis play
The dis play and all LEDs can be dim med to adapt them per fec tly to the am bient light con di ti ons:
• Press "Dim dis play" key and set the de si red bright ness with "+" and "
_
".
• When the keys re main un used for 3 sec., this va lue will be adop ted.

14.2 Key pad lock (child-proof safe ty lock)
The key pad lock pre vents un in ten tio nal al te ra ti on of the pro gram med set tings:
• To ac ti va te the key pad lock: Press "Dim dis play" and "pH" keys si mul ta neo us ly, "Key pad lock"
LED lights up.
• To de ac ti va te the key pad lock: Press key com bi na ti on again, LED go es off
No te: If any key is pres sed whi le the key pad lock is ac ti ve, "SAF" (for SAFE) will ap pe ar on the
dis play. The on ly avai lab le key func ti on is dis play of the pro gram med pH set ting with the
"pH" key.
15 What if ... Trouble shoo ting
15.1 Re pla cing the fu se
If the con nec ted so le no id val ve does not open alt hough the LED in di ca tes that the val ve is on,
ei ther the so le no id val ve or the fu se is de fec ti ve.
• Che cking the fu se: Con nect a nor mal ta ble lamp (max. 40 W) to the so cket on the po wer unit.
Se lect a suf fi ci en tly low set ting to en su re that the so le no id val ve is swit ched on. If the lamp
does not light up, the fu se is de fec ti ve.
• Re pla cing the fu se: Dis con nect the pH-Con trol ler from the po wer sup ply. Uns crew fu se hol der
and re mo ve de fec ti ve fu se. Fit new fu se of the sa me ty pe (from elec tri cal re tail er) and
screw fu se hol der back in to place.
15.2 What will hap pen in ca se of a po wer fai lure?
In ca se of a po wer fai lure, all pro gram med set tings and func ti ons will be re tai ned in the in ter -
nal per ma nent me mo ry. As soon as the po wer sup ply to the pH-Con trol ler is re su med, it will au -
to ma ti cal ly per form the ne ces sa ry con trol ac ti ons to re sto re the pH le vel in the aqua ri um to the
set va lue.
