6. MAINTENANCE

Should any technical problems arise, contact a 
qualified professional (recognised or authorised by 
the dealer or manufacturer) or your local dealer.

All operations on the appliance must be carried out 
by a qualified professional who before perform-
ing maintenance must make sure the appliance is 
turned off, cold and disconnected from the house-
hold mains.

The appliance contains a precise quantity of oil.  All 
repairs requiring the appliance to be opened must 
be performed by a qualified professional. 
In the event of oil leaks, contact your local dealer or 
a qualified professional.

5. CLEANING

Before cleaning, make sure the appliance is turned 
off, cold and disconnected from the household 
mains.

To clean, just wipe with a soft damp cloth and 
neutral detergent.  Never use abrasive or corrosive 
cleaning products or solvents.

To maintain efficiency, remove the dust from the 
surface and inside of the appliance at least twice a 
year using a vacuum cleaner. 

The appliance does not heat up.

 Check if the radiator is correctly connected to the mains power grid and powered.

r

 Check the position of the mains switch of the installation.

r

 Increase the temperature set point on the appliance regulator. 

r

 The safety device has tripped. Eliminate the cause of overheating 

(for example, obstructions or covering).

r

 Disconnect the appliance from the household mains for a few minutes to reset the 

electronic system.

r

 If it still does not heat up, contact your local dealer or a qualified professional.

The appliance heats 
continuously.

r

 Reduce the temperature set point on the appliance regulator. 

r

 Make sure the “Overdrive (2h)” function has not been activated accidentally. 

r

 If it continues to heat, contact your local dealer or a qualified professional.

The room stays cold.

r

 Make sure the power of the appliance is adequate for the room to be heated.

r

 If the appliance is being used for the first time, the room takes at least a couple of hours 

to heat to the required temperature (setting the radiator to maximum does not raise the 
temperature more quickly).

Leaks of the liquid in the 
appliance.

r

 Turn the appliance off and contact your local dealer. 

r

 Dry the leaks using gloves to protect from the chemical products.  Keep children and pets 

away from the liquid.

The appliance does not 
respond correctly to orders 
received from the Pilot Wire 
control unit.

r

 Disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply (switch off the mains switch by 

moving it in the “O” position). Make sure the connection is correct (Fig.8) and the control 
unit is functioning correctly. 

r

 Contact a qualified professional.

The upper LED becomes 
alternating yellow and red.

r

 The temperature sensor is malfunctioning. Turn off the appliance and contact your dealer.
