SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of

fire, electrical shock and/or personal injury.

1 Read all instructions carefully and retain for future reference.

2 Remove all packaging.

3 Make sure your electricity supply is the same as the one shown on the underside of your kettle.

4 Always use the filter and never overfill - boiling water may splash out.

5 Avoid contact with steam coming out of the spout area when pouring and out of the lid or spout

area when refilling.

6 Beware: the metal body of the kettle will get hot during operation.

7 Caution: Do not operate the kettle on an inclined surface.

8 Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface.

9 Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or

taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

10 To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse the appliance, cord,

plugs, or powerbase in water or other liquid.

11 Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,

or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility

for examination, repair or adjustment.

12 Only use the powerbase supplied and keep it clean and dry.

13 Make sure the lid is secure before switching the kettle on.

14 Take care when opening the lid - droplets of hot water may be ejected.

15 Make sure the kettle is switched off before lifting or pouring.

16 Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the heating cycles.

17 Remove the kettle from the base before filling or pouring.

18 Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

19 Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

20 The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in

fire, electric shock or injury to persons.

21 Do not use outdoors.

22 To disconnect, turn any control to ”off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.

tom of the unit. The appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a groun-

ded type 3 wire cord.
