Ways of Connecting to the Internet
Your phone’s networking capabilities allow you to access
the Internet or your corporate network via the mobile
network’s GPRS/EDGE/3G connection or Wi-Fi.
6.1.2
GPRS/EDGE/3G
You will need a data plan to use your wireless service operator’s
GPRS/EDGES/3G network. Check with your operator for
the service rates. If the GPRS/EDGE/3G settings are not
pre-configured on your phone, contact your operator for
the parameters. Do not change the settings as this may
cause connection failure.
Adding a New GPRS/EDGE/3G Connection
Before you begin, get the following information from your
network service operator:
•
Access Point Name (APN)
•
Your user name and password if needed.
•
Server IP and the port number if the network uses a
proxy server.
