If necessary, adjust the length of the SPS tray by loosening the two mounting
bracket nuts shown in Figure 1-10, adjusting the mounting bracket until it fits
snugly against the inside of the back vertical rail, and tightening the two nuts.
Installing a Single 900-W SPS Unit in the Tray
NOTICE: In a rack mount system, the SPS unit(s) must be placed directly
beneath the enclosure to which it will be connected. It is assumed that the
SPS tray is mounted directly beneath the DPE.
During a later installation procedure, you will be connecting (from the back) the SPS
on the left to power supply A (PS A), and connecting its interface cable to storage pro-
cessor A (SP A). Consider the SPS on the left as Unit SPS A. The second SPS (if any)
will be connected to PS B, and its interface cable will be connected to SP B. Consider
the SPS on the right as Unit SPS B.
CAUTION: The SPS weighs 9.1 kg (20 pounds). Remove with care.

Insert the 900-W SPS unit into the left-hand side of the tray as viewed from the
back of the rack cabinet (see Figure 1-10).
