To activate the drivers, remove the CD and restart your computer.

Installing the Power Management Utility
Dell provides a power management utility that helps you conserve battery power and view
available power levels. To install the power management utility, perform the following steps:
Save your work in all open application programs, because you will need to restart your
computer at the end of this procedure to complete the installation.
1.
Insert the
Dell System Software
CD into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
2.
Click the
Start
button, and then click
Run...
.
3.
The
Run
dialog box appears.
Type
d:\softex\apm\setup
(where
d
is your drive letter), and then click
OK
or press
<Enter>.
Follow the instructions on the display.
4.
When prompted, remove the CD and restart your computer to activate the utility.

Installing the PC Card Utility
Dell provides a PC Card utility that allows you to view and configure settings for your PC
Card(s). To install the PC Card utility, perform the following steps:
Save your work in all open application programs, because you will need to restart your
computer at the end of this procedure to complete the installation.

Insert the

CD into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
2.
Click the
Start
button, and then click
Run...
.
3.
The
Run

Restart your computer.
