Insert the
Dell System Software
CD into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and browse to
the modem driver directory.

Double-click
setup.exe
.

At the
Welcome
screen, click
Next>
.
The internal modem files are copied to your hard-disk drive.

At the
Setup Complete
window, click
Finish
.
5.
After the computer restarts, click the
Start
button, point to
Settings
, and click
Control
Panel
.
6.
At the
Control Panel
, double-click the
System
icon.
7.
Click the
Device Manager
tab. Be sure that
View devices by type
(default) is selected.
8.
In the device list, double-click
Other devices
and then click
Unknown Device
.
9.
Click
Remove
and then click
OK
at the
Confirm Device Removal
window.
10.
Click
Close
.
11.
Exit the
Control Panel
window.
12.
Shut down and then restart the computer.

NOTE: Keep the Dell System Software CD in the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive to
continue with the modem installation process.
After the computer restarts, the
New Hardware Found
window appears listing the
LT Win Modem
.
When the
Insert Disk
window appears, click
OK
.
14.
In the
Copy Files From
box, type
d:\modem\setup
, where
d
is the drive letter of the
CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. Click
OK
.
The
Insert Disk
window appears again.
