5. Remove the two (M2x3) screws that secure the display-cable bracket to the palm-rest and antenna assembly.
6. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
7. Remove the two (M2x3) screws that secure the fan to the palm-rest and antenna assembly.
8. Lift the fan off the palm-rest and antenna assembly.

Installing the fan

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

Steps

1. Using the alignment posts, place the fan on the palm-rest and antenna assembly.
2. Replace the two (M2x3) screws that secure the system fan to the palm-rest and antenna assembly.
3. Connect the fan cable to the system board.
4. Replace the two (M2x3) screws that secure the display-cable bracket to the palm-rest and antenna assembly.
