Run the installation program by running the command:

ServerHardwareManagement-x.x.x.x-windows-installer.exe --mode unattended 

or, modify 

options.installer

 and run with switch 

--options C:\path\to\installer.options

 for a non-default 

install.

This command installs the Server Hardware Management Software with all the default settings. The default installation directory is C:
\Program Files\Dell\ ServerHardwareManagement.

Accept all End User License Agreements.

Example

NOTE: 

There is no Windows console mode installation.

Uninstalling server hardware management 

Start the command prompt as an administrator.

Navigate to the installation directory.

The default directory is 

C:\Program Files\Dell\ServerHardwareManagement

.

Run the uninstallation program–

ServerHardwareManagement_uninstall.exe

. For silent uninstallation: 

ServerHardwareManagement_uninstall.exe --mode unattended

 Windows Explorer.

To uninstall a software application, on the taskbar, click 

Start

Control Panel

 > 

Programs and Features

.

Click the 

ServerHardwareManagement

 program.

Click 

Uninstall

.

Complete the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation.

Device Mapper Multipath

For the Server Hardware Management Software to recognize the hardware properly, Linux Device Mapper Multipath must be configured.

NOTE: 

Dell recommends the Failover Policy.

Graphical installation

Download the Server Hardware Management Software installation package from 

Dell.com/support

.

Navigate to the download directory of the installer.

Double-click the installation program: 

ServerHardwareManagement-x.x.x.x-<OS>-installer

 .

Complete the on-screen instructions and accept 

End User License Agreement

.

NOTE: 

You can select to start the SNMP monitoring service after installation is complete.
