The
operating head
with
insulating stick
may only be used if fire and explosion protection
measures have been taken (see B2 and B3 of EN 50110-1:…). Moreover, the camera must not
be used in thunderstorms due to the atmospheric overvoltage which is to be expected.
1.5
The requirements on this
operating head
are based on the reduced values of the minimum
distances according to DIN VDE 0101: ... . Therefore, the
operating head
cannot be used in
every prefabricated type-tested installation (according to DIN VDE 0670:…). The user of the
operating head or the operator of the switchgear installation has to contact the manufacturer
of the prefabricated switchgear installation to find out whether and where the
operating head
may be used.
1.6
Prior to use, the
operating head
and the relevant
insulating stick
must be checked for good
order and condition. If damage or any other defect is found, the combination of operating head
and insulating stick must not be used.
1.7
The combination of
operating head
and
insulating stick
may only be used under the condi-
tions shown and referred to in these instructions for use.
1.8
Before starting work, a risk assessment must be performed.
1.9
If only one of these safety notes is not strictly followed or disregarded, the user’s life and health
and the availability of the installation are threatened.
1.10
Tampering with or modification of the
operating head
and
insulating stick
or the installation
of combinations from other manufacturers or of other types is impermissible and will void war-
ranty.
