OPERATING PROBLEMS
In case of operating problems we recommend you to access the following page www.degxel.co.uk/tutorial which contains all
cases of errors and solving solutions. For the precise use of your thermostat functions (auto, comfort, eco, anti-freeze modes
etc.) refer to the operating instructions supplied with the device.
The heater does not respond to the orders of the thermostat, does not switch on AND has never worked!
Switch to Comfort mode (one single triangle in position 2). With the + button adjust an elevated temperature (above the actual
room temperature indicated on the thermostat, for instance 27°C), then confi rm with OK/INFO. Within a minute the heater
should switch on (you can hear a slight click indicating the trigger of the receiver in order to turn on the heater). Naturally the
heater takes time to heat, you need to wait 2-3 minutes to feel its surface heated. >>> it still doesn’t work / possible causes:
- The fi rst step has not been performed, has not been performed correctly, or the connection is incorrect.
- If despite your trials, the heater is not turned on by the thermostat, it may be that the receiver or the thermostat is in an
“unstable” mode.
Reset the receiver and the thermostat to their default values (see www.degxel.fr/tutorial) then repeat the
coupling procedure as described in step 1
.
- The thermostat is out of reach of the receiver. The 2 elements do not communicate (distance too great, receiver located
behind a wall, PLC outlet or disturbance of other radio devices, etc.). Place the receiver within the communication range as
indicated in the instructions. Disconnect the other disruptive elements (PLC, outlet controlled by radio, etc.). Repeat step 1.
The heater remains turned on meanwhile you have requested to turn it off using the thermostat!
A very simple solution is to switch the thermostat in ANTI-FREEZING mode (by default the heater does not heat if the temper-
ature is > 7°C). Wait 30 minutes and see if the surface of the heater has cooled. If it’s the case, the heater respond correctly to
orders coming from the thermostat, everything is in order.
The heater works from time to time but should not be working at all (during the summer for example)
The thermostat batteries were removed or are to be replaced. Other case: the thermostat is out of reach (distance, wall) of the
heater (therefore of the receiver). The receiver switches automatically to degraded mode. After a 3h communication break,
the heater will operate 1 minute every 10 minutes. Off season, we recommend you not to remove the batteries from the ther-
mostat. You just need to switch the thermostat in anti-freezing mode to stop it.
