8 Commissioning
DANGER!
Danger to life caused by electric current!
Danger to life caused by electric shock when contacting live components.
The external power supply must be set up according to the local regulations.
The EK6-S must be able to be disconnected from the power supply by a 6A-B circuit breaker.
The line protection breaker must be freely accessible.
WARNING!
Danger caused by non-apparent movement of the machine!
When commissioning the DEGERtracker, moving parts can cause serious injuries.
Do not remain within the DEGERtracker
’s range of pivoting motion.
Remove objects from the DEGERtracker
’s range of pivoting motion.
9 Inspection for free movement
9.1
Initiate the inspection for free movement
In order to make sure that the mechanics of the DEGERtracker are freely moveable and that all cables
are long enough and the limit switches turn off the motors, the tracker must move through the complete
distance of the elevation and azimuth drives.
ATTENTION!
If several DEGERtrackers are connected to one CCB, the inspection for free movement must be
performed for each individual system. This way, possible faults can already be localized before
damage occurs.
9.2
Scope of the inspection for free movement
1.
Cables must not be subject to mechanical stress.
2.
Hall sensor turns the drive off in time in end positions
3.
The full pivoting spectrum
4.
There should not be any unusual noises.
The easiest way to perform the clearance check is by using the CCB-S joystick.
Alternatively, the drive can be connected to a battery pack (12 V to 26 V).
Change the rotational direction according to the wiring diagram in EK6-S.
