Preparation to connect the MLD-control to the electrical installation of the
customer
ATTENTION!
When routing cables between rotating head and base frame, ensure sufficient clearance, so that
these will not be squashed or mechanically stressed during operation!
1.
The MLD-control is delivered with a connected wiring loom. Follow the supplied assembly and operating
manual
“MLD Control EC-6 with CCB” for connecting to the power supply line provided by the customer.
2.
Completely extend the elevation drive by using the rechargeable battery pack, until the drive switches off.
3.
Untighten two bolts M8x12 from the front gearbox cover and lay them safely to the side.
4.
Untighten four bolts from the rear gearbox cover and lay them safely to the side.
5.
Carefully cut the cable straps on the coiled up wiring loom.
6.
Push the wiring loom down through the mast and through the opening in the mast (Ø50 mm) to the outside.
Local regulations have to be followed and additional measures should be taken if necessary.
6.9
Boomerang
The boomerang has the function of limiting the AZ slewing range. Without it, the DEGER systems would be
able to rotate a full circle and thus damage the wiring loom.
The boomerang needs to be aligned to the North as accurately as possible (+/-5°).
You may use a GPS-receiver, a site plan or a compass to determine the north position. When using a
compass you must stay at least 10m clear of any steel parts!
1.
Mounting the boomerang
The position of the bores in the mast
flange has no influence.
2.
Fasten the boomerang with the two bolts M5x18.
