DEFA Home Socket is a wireless accessory for Base Unit DIY or Base Unit PRO with Radio
Module, that switch the power ON and OFF to heating appliances, lighting fixtures or other
electric devices. The Socket also repeats signals to and from wireless accessories, to extend
the range of your system. The Socket has a zone selector on the back for choosing which zone
it should operate on. It also has a pairing button for connecting wirelessly to the Base Unit.
Connect your Socket to the Base Unit by following these steps:
Set your Base Unit to pairing mode by pressing the pairing button ( ) on the front of
Base Unit or Radio Module. Use a pointed object to press the button. When pairing to
a Base Unit you’ll hear a beep every second for max 60 seconds. When connecting to
a Radio Module, the indicator light on Radio Module will flash blue for 60 seconds.
Plug your Socket in a power outlet and press the pairing button ( ) on the back of your
Socket. If pairing to a Base Unit, a short beep will sound when registration is success-
ful. If connecting to a Radio Module the Radio Modules indicator light stops flashing.
When pairing is successful the Sockets indicator light will turn green or red.
Remove your Socket from the power outlet and turn the zone selector to the desired
position, 1 - 6 or A and S. See the next page for more information regarding zones.
Plug your Socket back in to the power outlet and insert the power cable to the device
you want to control. If the indicator light on the Socket is green, the connected devices
power is turned ON. If the light is red, the connected devices power is turned OFF.
