Practical hints
Please read carefully the enclosed instructions for use before assembly.
Clean the hopper after each use as some fertiliser may become stuck and cause uneven spreading.
Your spreader is designed to be pushed at 4,5 km/hour, which is a brisk walking speed. A slower or faster pace will change the spread pattern. Wet fertiliser will
also change the spread pattern and flow rate. Clean and dry your spreader thoroughly after each use. Also clean the space between the shutoff valve and the
bottom of the hopper.
Instructions for use
Before filling the hopper, become familiar with the operation of this spreader.
1.
Take a look at the enclosed
RATE SETTING CHART
in order to obtain the correct setting for the material to be used.
2.
Make sure the drop holes are closed (position ‘0’) before filling the hopper.
3.
Move the stop bolt on the rate gauge assembly to the proper stetting and tighten the wing nut.
4.
While pushing the spreader forward, push the control lever to the stop bolt to open the drop holes.
5.
To stop, pull the lever back to position ‘0’ to close the drop holes before you stop moving.
6.
When finished, remove any remaining material from the hopper.
7.
Thoroughly wash the spreader and allow it to dry before storing. No oiling is necessary.

Example: If you want to apply a DCM Fertiliser in
MINIGRAN
®
at a rate of 7 kg/100 m²: push the lever of your DCM DROPPER PRO to setting 20 and spread
the fertiliser lengthwise (1 x) on the ground. You have now spread ± 3,5 kg/100 m². Then, spread the same fertiliser quantity again, but widthwise (2x). In total you
have now spread ± 7kg/100 m² (see also walking pattern).
The settings mentioned on the rate setting chart are intended as a guideline only. Differences in the physical characteristics of the material applied, in the walking
speed or in the hardness of the ground surface, may require slightly different settings of the spreader. In consideration of the above conditions,
De Ceuster Meststoffen N.V. can not guarantee that a spreader adjusted according to the settings listed will spread evenly.
