step function eliminates the transition wait time, but creates a phase
discontinuity in the output signal. The threshold value for selecting
slew versus step can be set from 0 to 700 msec.
Step + and Step - Keys
In Static mode, press the desired link parameter field. The background
of that field will be highlighted. Then press the
Step +
or
Step
–
key
and the value changes by the selected Step size amount. Once stepping
is completed, press
Clear
to exit the step mode.
Note: During operation, if step forces a parameter out of range, the
value will be set to the allowable limit.

When the mode is set to static, each of the link parameters is displayed
and implemented immediately upon entering Static mode. The
parameter values in each channel can be set independently of other
channels.
A unique step size can be set for each of the link parameter types. The
Step +
and
Step -
keys change the parameter by its step size value.

Figure 2-9 shows the front panel display in static mode. Each of 16
parameter fields can be edited by touching near the center of the value.
