Note that the cursor is displayed under the '*' character.  The 

Scroll Up

 and 

Scroll Down

 keys

allow the user to select alphanumeric characters (A-Z, 0-9, hyphen (-), and space).  During
alphanumeric data entry, the 

Enter

 key has two functions.  If the 

Enter

 key is depressed while

the '*' character IS displayed, the alphanumeric data entry session is terminated.  If the 

Enter

key is depressed when the '*' character IS NOT displayed, the cursor will advance to the right
and the user is be prompted with '*' to enter the next character in the string.  Note that the

BKSP

 key will delete characters which have been entered and shift the cursor to the left.

4.6

RESET Mode

Reset mode displays antenna and polarization fault conditions.  These fault conditions can
also be reset from this mode (the fault conditions reported in this mode disable movement
about the affected axis.

When Reset mode is activated, one of the following screens will be displayed (if no fault
conditions exist).

The first screen will be displayed if the controller is configured for a Polarotor (

24 VDC Rot

Feed

 Config item set to zero).  The second screen will be displayed if the controller is

configured for a rotating feed (

24 VDC Rot Feed

 item set to one).

The fault status of each axis is displayed on the top line of the LCD below the appropriate
banner (POS or POL).  Use the 

1

 key to reset the antenna axis and the 

2

 key to reset the

polarization axis.

Here are the status messages that may be displayed:

OK

Indicates that no fault conditions are active for the axis (antenna or polarization).
