Configuration Type
There are three IP Configuration types available:
•
DHCP Server
o
The Master Station will auto-assign IP addresses to other network devices connected.
o
Use this option if the system will be operated in a stand-alone environment and not
connected to an existing network.
•
DHCP Client (default)
o
The Master Station will look for a DHCP server on the network and use an IP address
provided by the DHCP server.
o
Use this option if this system will be connected to an existing network.
o
Smart DHCP (default enabled)
§
When enabled, the system will attempt to obtain an IP address from the network.
If unsuccessful, DHCP Server mode will be enabled using the parameters
indicated.
•
Static IP
o
Use this option for advanced configurations only.
