Magneto or Coil Ignition Distributor
Apply a little H.M.P. grease to the heel of the rocker cam and to the fibre
hush; fill lubricator at base. (See Figs.
8
and
13.) (NOTE:
Lubricator fitted
to magnetos only.)

Check condition of charge and
top up to plate level with clean
distilled water.
Bgnamo
(if fitted)
Lubricate with a few drops
of oil.
Power Lift Filters
Drain oil from transmission
and power lift sump (see Fig. 14)
into a clean container,
remove the
power lift sump plate, which
releases the gauze and magnetic
filter from the power lift suction
pipe. The magnetic filter, secured
to the gauze centre with three
·
countersunk headed setscrews,
should he removed to enable the
magnetic prongs to he thoroughly
cleaned.
After cleaning the gauze with
paraffin or vaporizing oil, allow to
drain. Before replacing the plate
make sure that the gasket is
intact, renewing if necessary. The
original oil may be used for
refilling the transmission at this
period.
Brake Camshafts
(Refer to lubrication diagram)
Apply a small amount of grease
to each point.
