Engineer switches
A quick guide to the engineer switch functions is at annex 3 at the rear of this manual
The following features must only be accessed by the dealer. This information must not be passed to the
customer. Should a customer request a change be made we strongly advise you to discuss the implications with
them prior to carrying out any changes. The default settings for the alarm system are set as the optimum and we
advise you to stay with these settings where possible.
To access this area you enter the programming as explained above and select software switch 3 (3 beeps).
To select software switch 3:
•
Press both buttons of the remote control (3 fast beeps will be heard)
•
Press the Grey button of the remote control (a beep will be heard)
•
Press both buttons of the remote control (a beep will be heard)
•
Press the Black button of the remote control (a lower tone beep will be heard)
You have now entered the engineering software area. The process of moving through it, selecting the software switch
and changing the settings is basically the same as above with each software switch being indicated by the number of
lower tone beeps heard.
Enter the required software switch by pressing both buttons of the transmitter.
Once the desired adjustment of the software switch has been made, press both buttons again to confirm acceptance and
exit the switch
After the tones for each software switch have finished, the LED will indicate the current setting of that switch even before it
is entered for adjustment. This is to assist in the programming of the system.
Please note:
You can go both up and down the software switch selection by pressing the Grey button to move to a
higher number and the Black button to return to a lower number.
However when at switch 8 if you press the Grey button before entering it you will move to switch 1 of
the
CUSTOMER SELECTABLE SWITCHES.
Should you wish to go back to reset an earlier
engineer switch press the Black button until you reach the desired switch.
If you re-enter the
Customer software switch area
by mistake, go to switch 3 select and re-enter the
engineer’s software switches.
Important:
The engineers section of the software switches cannot be entered without the special engineer’s
entry sequence above. Under no circumstances must this code be given to the customer.
The table on the next page explains the adjustments which can be made. Following that the text gives details of how to
make the adjustments and what you will see to indicate the setting of each switch.
Once you have finished and wish to totally exit programming simply turn OFF the ignition.
