3.4 Ribbon Removal

Removal of a Partially Used Roll of Ribbon

Complete the following steps to remove and save a ribbon:

Cut the ribbon at the point shown in Figure 3-8.

Turn the Ribbon Take-up Hub until the end of the ribbon
has cleared the printhead area.

Grasp the roll of used ribbon and slide the used ribbon
straight off the Ribbon Take-up Hub. Discard the used
ribbon.

Grasp the roll of unused ribbon, pull and slide the unused
ribbon from the Ribbon Supply Hub, storing it for future use.
