Ribbon Loading (Thermal Transfer Option)

Direct /Thermal Transfer Switch
1. Open the cover. Remove the Ribbon Supply Hub and the Ribbon
Take-Up Hub by pushing in and lifting up.
2 . Slide the Ribbon onto the Ribbon Supply Hub so that the Ribbon
comes over the top and toward the front, as shown.
3. Slide the Empty Core onto the Take-Up Hub.
4. Install the Ribbon Supply Hub and the Ribbon Take-Up Hub into the
printer.
1. Unlatch and raise the Printhead Carrier Assembly.
2. Move the Direct/Thermal Transfer Switch to the ‘Transfer’ position.
1. Route the Ribbon through the Printhead Carrier Assembly and up to
the Empty Core, as shown.
2. Tape the leading edge of the Ribbon onto the Empty Core, rotating
several times to secure.
3. Close the Printhead Carrier Assembly by pressing down until it locks.
4. Close the cover. Press the Feed/Pause button several times to
normalize ribbon tracking.
