Installation prerequisites
5.1
Pre-start checks
Procedure
1. Inspect all electrical connections to ensure compliance to electrical codes and
safety regulations.
2. Inspect all bolts used to secure the turbine meter in line to ensure that correct
mounting procedures have been followed and that flange connections are leak-
free.
3. Evaluate the system setup to ensure that all components are in the correct
sequence for accurate product measurement: isolation valve, strainer, flow
straightener, turbine meter, downstream section, control valve, etc.
4. Ensure that the supply voltage to the preamplifier is within the 10-30 VDC range.
5.2
Torque information
NOTICE
When installing this equipment, bolting must conform to the requirements of ASME B16.5
paragraph 5.3 and to the material requirements of ASME B16.5 Table 1B. Gaskets must
conform to the requirements of ASME B16.20. This is applicable for class 150 to 300.
Important
When installing flange, follow the customer's best internal practice procedures.
5.3
Tools required for LME disassembly/assembly
Use the following tools for disassembly/assembly of the turbine meter electronics (LME):
