Electronic Control System
The control system architecture consists of three
electronic boards:
• Compressor Control Module (CCM)
• Pulse Width Modulator (PWM)
• Compressor Interface Module (CIM)
The CCM is the center point for all electronics
in the compressor and communicates with
the PWM board, CIM board, and Drive Module.
Communication between the compressor and
chiller controller is accessed through the CIM.
NOTE
The minimum motor cable sizes listed are for factory full load current. Cable sizes for any amperage setting
below the factory settings should be sized according to local standards using the flexible locomotive
copper cable.
• 2 cables per phase, 6 total from the drive to
the motor.
• Using two cables run each of the three phases
through each conduit.
Phase cable
• Flexible locomotive (stranded) copper cable
• Cables should be shielded or Screened
• See Table 3 for sizing
• Cables should be shielded or Screened
Ground cable
•
#1 AWG copper cable
Motor Cable Sizing
NOTE
It is recommended to keep the motor cable length as short as possible, preferably not to exceed 5 m (15’).
