Chapter 19.0 Shipping Considerations
19.1 Vibration
When shipping the compressor as an integral part of a chiller unit, precautions should be taken to
protect the compressor motor cooling line from excessive vibration. Due to the flexibility of the
compressor’s isolation mounts, compressor vibration during transit can fracture the motor cooling
line’s rigid piping. Danfoss LLC suggests the temporary installation of an anti-vibration bracket
between the compressor’s base frame and mounting rail during transit, as shown in "Figure 19-1 Anti-
Vibration Bracket".
