Installation Guide

DLX seriesL00410622-01

25

3. Start Up

A minimum available voltage of

184 V

AC

230 V

DC

 and a power greater than

7 W

DC

 is

required before the inverter starts feeding power to the grid.

AC side

Turn ON the AC circuit breaker(s).

DC side

Turn ON the DC switch(es).

3.1. Initial Start

When the inverter is started for the first time, an installation menu is automatically
displayed to enable the configuration of certain critical values and operational settings.

3.1.1. Customizing the Inverter Settings

Single Inverter

When both the DC and the AC switches are turned ON and the inverter is supplied with

enough power, an installation menu is displayed in the LCD screen.

Multiple Connected Inverters

1. CAN

Connecting all inverters via the CAN bus enables the configuration of all inverters in a

plant via one inverter. The

Start Up

can then be carried out on any inverter, and if

configured as the

master

 inverter the configuration settings of

time

date

language

 and

grid settings

will be transferred to all the other

follower

 inverters on the network.

Each

follower

inverter is automatically assigned an ID number from the

master

 during

Start Up

2. RS-485

Connecting the inverters via the RS-485 bus enables communication with third party
equipment.

Each inverter must manually be assigned an ID, a bit rate number and a parity number:

-

The ID number must be between 1 and 247.

-

Both the

master

 inverter and the

follower

inverters need a bitrate number and a

parity number. Compare with the setup in the third party equipment (eg. an
external data logger) and write this number in the inverter’s network menu. Refer
to section

6.2.4.2 Network Setup

 of the

 User Guide

 for more details.

Defaults are: bitrate –

19200

and parity –

none
