High pressure safety or relief valve:
i)
As the Danfoss APP pump begins to create
pressure and flow immediately after
start-up and regardless of any counter
pressure, a safety or pressure relief valve (8)
should be installed after the non-return
valve to prevent system damage and to
avoid high pressure peaks.
Note: If a non-return valve is mounted in the inlet
line, a low-pressure relief valve is also required
between the non-return valve and
pump as protection against high-pressure peaks.
