By twisting the throttle grip, when the machine is tuned on (manual mode), the following
voltages will be measured:
Black to blue
5 volts, will not change with throttle position
Brown to blue
5 volts, will decrease to zero volts as the throttle is
twisted fully
Black to brown
zero volts, will increase to 5 volts as the throttle is
twisted fully.
In addition to these tests, it will be noted that there are six diagnostic lights on the
topside of the Junction Box, inside the machine, mounted against the back frame plate.
The fifth light, from the left side, is called the "Drive Command." As the throttle grip is
twisted the voltage between the black and brown wire will start to increase. When the
brown wire is about 0.40 volts, this light will turn on, inducting the throttle is sending its
proper command. It does not, however, indicate if the throttle is working properly over
its entire range of travel.
