Close the emergency closure with the manual lock (4). Unscrew the check plug (5) and screw in the test pipe
(available as accessory). Fill in water and let it rise to the funnel edge. Monitor the water level in the funnel for
10 minutes and keep it at the original height by topping it up, if applicable. The backwater closure is considered
to be sufficiently tight when no more than 500 cm³ / 0,5 l have to be topped off during this period.
