Setting the timer (PIC 2)
The timer is located under the front panel of the fan next to the terminal block and is marked as "Time". By turning the
timer carefully to the left or right using a small flat head screwdriver, set the fan rundown time from 15 seconds to 45
minutes.
MODE 1
– light sensor (on), time rundown
Wire connection:
Connect the brown phase wire to the L terminal and the blue neutral wire to the N terminal. Place the
I/II/III jumper as seen in PIC 4a. Set the A/B jumper to the position of PIC 1a.
The fan starts when the light is on (it must be on for at least 45 seconds) and it will be ventilating throughout the entire
lighting period. After turning the light off, the fan runs down according to the timer setting.
Note: If the light is turned off earlier (i.e., it has not been on for at least 45 seconds), the fan will not start.
MODE 2
– light sensor (off), time rundown
Wire connection:
Connect the brown phase wire to the L terminal and the blue neutral wire to the N terminal. Place the
I/II/III jumper as seen in PIC 4a. Set the A/B jumper to the position of PIC 1b.
The fan starts after the light has been turned off (it must have been on for at least 90 seconds) and it will be ventilating
throughout the entire time set on the timer.
Note: If the light is turned off earlier (i.e., it has not been on for at least 90 seconds), the fan will not start after turning the
light off.
MODE 3
– time r separate switch
Wire connection:
Connect the brown phase wire to the L terminal, the black switching wire to the T terminal and the
blue neutral wire to the N terminal. Place the I/II/III jumper as seen in PIC 4b. Set the A/B jumper to the position of
PIC
1a.
Light sensor inactive. The fan starts whenever the position on the switch is switched over (no matter what the position)
and is ventilating throughout the entire time set on the timer.
Note: If the switch position is switched over during the time rundown, the fan stops immediately.
MODE 4
– time r lighting switch
Wire connection:
Connect the brown phase wire to the L terminal, the black switching wire to the T terminal and the
blue neutral wire to the N terminal. Place the I/II/III jumper as seen in PIC 4c. Set the A/B jumper to the position of
PIC
1a.
Light sensor inactive. The fan starts when the switch (i.e., the light) is turned on and runs throughout the entire lighting
period. After the switch (light) has been turned off, the fan continues ventilating throughout the time set on the timer.
Note: If the switch (light) is turned on again during the time rundown, the fan will continue running without interruption
until the switch (light) is turned off again and then it will run down according to the timer setting.
MODE 5
– time r separate button
Wire connection:
Connect the brown phase wire to the L terminal, the black switching wire to the T terminal and the
blue neutral wire to the N terminal. Place the I/II/III jumper as seen in PIC 4c. Set the A/B jumper to the position of
PIC
1a.
Light sensor inactive. The fan is started by pressing the button and runs throughout the time set on the timer.
Note: If the button is pressed again during the active rundown, the rundown restarts from the beginning.
NOMIA ZW (models with timer, humidistat and light sensor)
Basic information about the connection:
1)
Switch off the electric circuit that you are going to work on.
2)
Unscrew the screw on the front panel's side and remove the cover under which the terminal block with three
terminals is located.
3)
The terminals are marked with letters T (interruptible phase), L (permanent phase) a N (neutral).
4)
Read the wiring diagram carefully (PIC 7a, PIC 7b, PIC 7c) depending on the mode selected (see below).
5)
Run the supply cables through the rubber bushing and connect them in the terminal block as seen in the wiring
diagram.
6)
Set the timer (Time).
7)
Set the humidistat (Humidity).
8)
Set the I/II jumper and the A/B jumper depending on the mode selected (see below).
9)
After completing the installation, connect the electric circuit and test the function of the fan.
Setting the timer (PIC 2)
The timer is located under the front panel of the fan next to the terminal block and is marked as "Time". By turning the
timer carefully to the left or right using a small flat head screwdriver, set the fan rundown time from 15 seconds to 45
minutes.
Setting the humidistat (PIC 3)
The humidistat is located under the front panel of the fan next to the terminal block and is marked as "Humidity". By
turning the humidistat carefully to the left or right using a small flat head screwdriver, set the relative humidity to trigger
the fan from 60% RH to 100% RH.
MODE 1
– humidity sensor, time rundown
Wire connection:
Connect the brown phase wire to the L terminal and the blue neutral wire to the N terminal. Place the
I/II jumper as seen in PIC 6b. Set the A/B jumper to the position of PIC 1a.
Light sensor inactive. The humidity sensor will start the fan based on the set value ("Humidity"). After the humidity
decreases, the fan continues ventilating for the remaining time set on the timer ("Time")
MODE 2
– humidity sensor, time r separate switch
Wire connection:
Connect the brown phase wire to the L terminal, the black switching wire to the T terminal and the
blue neutral wire to the N terminal. Place the I/II jumper as seen in PIC 6b. Set the A/B jumper to the position of PIC 1a.
Light sensor inactive. The humidity sensor will start the fan based on the set value ("Humidity"). After the humidity
decreases, the fan continues ventilating for the remaining time set on the timer ("Time"). The fan can be started
manually by switching over the position on the switch (no matter what the position) and is ventilating throughout the
entire time set on the timer.
Note: If the switch position is switched over during the time rundown, the fan stops immediately.
MODE 3
– light sensor (on), humidity sensor, time rundown
Wire connection:
Connect the brown phase wire to the L terminal and the blue neutral wire to the N terminal. Place the
I/II jumper as seen in PIC 6a. Set the A/B jumper to the position of PIC 1a.
The fan starts when the light is on (it must be on for at least 45 seconds) and it will be ventilating throughout the entire
lighting period. After turning the light off, the fan runs down according to the timer setting ("Time"). The humidity sensor
will start the fan based on the set value ("Humidity") – whether it is light or dark. After the humidity decreases, the fan
continues ventilating for the remaining time set on the timer.
Note: If the light is turned off earlier (i.e., it has not been on for at least 45 seconds), the fan will not start.
