Motor running too hot
Blade tension is too high
Reduce tension on blade
Drive belt tension is too high
Reduce tension on drive belt
by loosening the two hex
head screws under the motor
pulley cover. Same screws
loosened in “CHANGING
BLADE SPEED” section of
the manual.
Blade is too coarse for
material
Use a finer tooth blade
Blade is too fine for material
Use a coarser tooth blade
Gears alighted improperly
Adjust gears to that worm is
in the center of the gear
Gears need lubrication
Check oil path
Cut is binding blade
Decrease feed pressure
Blade not cutting straight
Feed pressure is too high
Reduce feed pressure by
increasing the spring tension
on side of saw
Feed pressure is too low
Increase feed pressure by
decreasing the spring tension
on side of saw
Guide bearings not adjusted
properly
Adjust guide bearing,
clearance should be no
greater than .001”
Dull blade
Replace blade
Incorrect blade speed
Use chart inside pulley cover
and chart in the “BLADE
SPEED” section of the
manual to determine correct
blade speed
Blade guides are spaced too

Blade guide assembly is
