9.1 Programming the dialler as back-up to a PSTN dialler
This function should only be used when the GSM dialler is used to back up a PSTN dialler.
When the GSM dialler is programmed as a back-up system, it only transmits alarms when a PSTN telephone line cut is detected.
The PSTN telephone dialler is able to transmit the telephone line tamper message (if the communication network tamper parameter
has been enabled) to the GSM dialler.
Connecting a telephone line cut detector to one of the hardwired inputs also makes it possible to detect
a telephone line cut.
Depending on the applications, the GSM/GPRS dialler can be used as the only remote transmission system or as a back-up system (on
top of a conventional PSTN telephone dialler).

9.2 Programming the dialler to recognise the relayed control panel
A 701-21X radio repeater relay is needed for recognition programming of the control panel in relayed mode.

• Motion detectors cannot be relayed using a 701-21X radio repeater relay for the transmission of images.
• Recognition programming with the GSM/GPRS dialler must be performed directly. The motion detectors must therefore be within the
dialler’s radio range.

Before switching to user mode, we recommend you test GSM/GPRS dialler image transmission
for each image transmission detector. To do this, proceed as follows:
1. Dialler in installation mode. 2. Press twice on the
detector test button. 3. Move into the
detector field.
4. Check the images are transmitted
to the programmed system correspondent.
