Installation For Water Heater Tank
Water Heater Tank
The tank should be installed close to the majority of water outlets to reduce heat loss, as well as
saving material and labour costs. In addition consider the following issues, which have an effect on
operational performance, personal health and asset safety:
• Weather can affect on the tank in terms of external corrosion. Although the heater is design for a
natural outdoor condition, a dry non-corrosive site would increase the life of the tank. NO PART OF
THE HEATER SHOULD BE IMMERSED INTO WATER OR EXPOSED TO ANY CORROSIVE
ENVIRONMENT.
• The Pressure and Temperature relief valve must be made accessible so that the lever can be
operated and if required the valve replacement.
• The tank is oriented so that instruction labels or markings are visible from the front.
• The tank can be subsequently removed without major structural alteration to the building or to the
piping.
• Support structure of the tank shall comply with the local regulations. The tank should not be
installed on clay of soft soil or any floor, which may subside over time.
• If the tank is installed on an elevated structure, a vibration eliminating rubber mat may be required
under the tank. A properly drain overflow tray should be used whereproperly drainage could occur
from water spillage.
