4. Removal of Heat Exchanger

Procedure

Warning

Be sure to wait 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies 
before disassembling work.

Points

1. Remove the heat 

exchanger

Warning

When any gas leakage is found, 
repair the gas leakage points. 
After that, collect all refrigerants 
in the air conditioner, vacuum 
dry the inside and then fill it with 
refrigerant.

Warning

Do not entrain air or the like 
other than the specified 
refrigerant (R-410A) in the 
refrigerating cycle. (If air is 
entrained into the refrigerant 
cycle, the inside of the 
refrigerating cycle is 
extraordinarily raised and will 
cause an explosion or result in 
injury.)

Caution

If any gas is leaked during the 
operation, ventilate the room. (If 
the refrigerant gas is exposed to 
any flammable material, toxic 
gas may occur.)

Caution

To prevent the heat exchanger 
from dropping, be sure to 
support it while you remove the 
screws.



Make sure that the gases 
are removed after the 
pump down work. After 
that, start the removal of 
the heat exchanger.

Remove the drain pan 
and the like before 
starting the removal of the 
heat exchanger.

Cut one part in the 
clamp to remove the 
Faston terminal (earth 
wire).

Remove the 4 screws 
from the heat 
exchanger supporting 
plate.

Remove the heat 
exchanger supporting
