NAME AND FUNCTIONS OF REMOTE CON-
TROLLER
• The illustrations in this operating manual correspond to the remote controller format BRC1C type.
CAUTION
• Do not drag or twist the wire connecting the remote
controller, otherwise a fault may result.
• Do not touch any button of the remote controller with a
sharp object; doing so may damage the remote controller
or cause a fault.
NOTE
• The above illustration is intended for the explanation of the
display and therefore differs from the actual display during
operation.
DISPLAY
Operation Mode Display
Indicates the current mode of
operation as shown below:
Fan operation
Cooling operation
Heating operation
See page 9.
This lamp remains lit while the
unit is running.
Press the button once to start
the unit.
Press it again to stop the unit.
Indicates the unit is
under centralized
control.
• When the operation button
is pressed, sometimes
“NOT AVAILABLE” will be
displayed continuously for
several seconds if a certain
function is not available
with the indoor unit.
• When several units are
running simultaneously,
“NOT AVAILABLE” will be
displayed only when a
certain function is not
available with all indoor
units. As long as one unit
has this function, “NOT
AVAILABLE” will not be
displayed.
Inspection/
Test Operation Display
Press the Inspection/Test
Operation button (during
maintenance), then one of
the two displays will appear.
• Do not use this function at
ordinary times.
Indicates the time set by the
timer.
Programmed Time Display
Set Temperature Display
Indicates the set temperature.
Defrosting/Hot Start Display
