Remark
:
See picture below 1 chapter 4
Preparation of the welding machine
⚫
Connect the ground cable quick connector to the
negative (-) output welding terminal.
⚫
Connect the ground cable clamp to the workpiece. The
contact with the workpiece must be strong contact with
clean and bare metal, without corrosion, paint or
spatter at the contact point.
⚫
Connect the cable with the electrode holder to the
positive (+) in the welding output terminal.
⚫
Turn on the device with the main switch on the back of
the device.
⚫
Press the left button to select the welding process and rotate the left button to select the MMA process.
⚫
Press the left button to confirm the process selection
=>
Next, a screen with welding parameters will appear (picture below)
Setting procedure:
⚫
Turn the right knob to set the welding current (turn
clockwise to increase it, counter-clockwise to decrease
it)
⚫
During welding, the display will change to show the
actual values (welding current and voltage).
⚫
By pressing the right button, select an additional welding parameter
(Start current = Hot start /
Arc force / VRD). Turn the right knob to set the desired value of the selected parameter. Confirm the
value by pressing the right button and move to setting the next parameter.
⚫
By pressing the right button, confirm the set parameter value and the system returns to setting the
basic welding parameter (A ).
⚫
VRD:
VRD is a voltage reduction system. The open
circuit voltage at the output terminals of the welding
source is high enough to cause an electric shock to a
person who comes into contact with the live terminals.
VRD is a safety system that reduces this open circuit
voltage to a level where the risk of electric shock is
minimal. However, it makes it difficult to establish an
arc.
⚫
Press
the right button to turn VRD on/off.
⚫
HOT START
– automatic current increase at ignition (setting in steps from 0 to 10).
⚫
ARC FORCE
– protection against sticking of the electrode during welding (setting in steps from 0 to 10).
Warning!
A welding cable kit is required for MMA/Stick/REO welding. some types of welding
electrodes use a different connection polarity. Look at the instruction manual for the electrode, which is usually
found on the electrode packaging
.
